We did some comparison tests and found it to out shine most other flashlights built with Cree LEDs which are rated at 180 to 200 lm. This light is in the 180 to 200 lm category. The quality of the Cree chip, the way it is driven and it's deep and wide reflector all take part in this long throwing yet wide moon light. This extra wide and extra deep reflector also shapes a more defined center spot which throws much further than almost all LED tactical. Even after 3 hours! Of constant running on the same set of batteries the spot out shins many 130lm and 160lm single and double RCR123A lights. The higher quality machining of the threads is a real pleasure compared to others of similar price. It has a thicker wall tube and a more meaty wall on the threaded end cap.
